St. Clair County Community College presents the art show “Renewed” from
Monday, Jan. 28, through Friday, Feb. 22, in the Fine Arts Galleries on
the Port Huron campus.
The show features 3-D sculptures by SC4 alumnus Tom Pyrzewski of St.
Clair. The galleries are open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
Pyrzewski studied for two years at SC4 then transferred to the College for
Creative Studies in Detroit, where he earned a bachelor of fine arts
degree in digital cinema. In May, Pyrzewski earned his master of fine arts
degree in sculpture from Wayne State University in Detroit.
He is a 3-D design instructor at Wayne State University and the chief
preparator for the Elaine L. Jacob Gallery and the Community Arts Gallery
at Wayne State. Pyrzewski has a studio in St. Clair Township.
The SC4 show is a combination of clothing and house paint placed over
objects that are natural and man-made. Pyrzewski said, “The 12 pieces
challenge the viewer to contemplate the interconnection between human and
nature.”

SUPERIORBELLY IS VERY BUSY WORKING ON THIER
PERFORMANCE DESCRIBED AS:
A THEORETICAL EXAMINATION OF ATTAINMENT THAT ATTEMPTS TO EVADE THE CONVENTIONAL CONSTRUCTS OF EXISTENCE, TIME, AND ART. THE EXPERIENCE EMPLOYS SYMBOLISM TO COMMUNICATE EMOTIONS AND THE INTANGIBLE; THE PERFORMERS EXPLORE THE PSYCHE THROUGH VIGNETTES, UTILIZING STRONG ALLURING SENSORY EXPERIENCES TO TRANSPIRE A NONLINEAR DISPLAY OF CONSCIOUSNESS.
